The house in the video above is my house. Now, like everyone, I think my house is special but I have a specific reason for thinking my house is special. That’s because our mosquito control programs have made my house mosquito-free.
Now if you live in the Savannah area, you may find it hard to believe that someone can claim to have a mosquito-free house, but thanks to the expertise of Savannah Termite and Pest Control, you can have a mosquito-free house and I’m a living proof.
The University of Georgia College of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences states there are 174 species of mosquitoes in the US, and 63 of them have been found in the state of Georgia. Due to our climate in landscapes, Coastal Georgia is a hotbed for mosquito infestation. Effectively treating for mosquitoes requires a detailed understanding of the breeding and feeding characteristics of these mosquitoes.
At Savannah Termite and Pest Control, we know where mosquitoes live and how they behave, and we know how to tailor our treatments to the specific circumstances at your home. If you want a mosquito-free home like mine, don’t rely on the pest control companies that claim that their general-purpose test treatment can take care of the mosquitoes. Call Savannah Termite and Pest Control and let us explain to you how our unique expertise and mosquito control will truly give you a mosquito-free home.
Why Mosquito Control is Important
The Marshes of Skidaway Island make for a scenic home for the people who live here, but unfortunately, there’s a test that can make life miserable for the residents of Skidaway: mosquitoes.
According to Cnet, mosquitoes are the deadliest animal on earth, killing more than 1 million people every year. The mosquitoes are so deadly because of their unique ability to transmit disease. Female mosquitoes feed on the blood of people and animals to obtain proteins that are used to feed their eggs. When the female mosquito bites a person infected with certain diseases she ingests the disease parasite which then invades her cells and replicates.
After replicating the parasite migrates to her salivary glands where it can infect the next host. The Zika virus has gotten most of the attention in recent years, but the list of diseases that are transmitted by mosquitoes is both long and lethal.
If you have a mosquito problem on Skidaway Island or anywhere else in the Savannah area call Savannah Termite and Pest Control and ask for me, Mike Warren.
